Paint Joy Foundation × ROPE Youth

Paint Joy Foundation recently partnered with ROPE Youth in Midland, Texas, to transform a blank exterior wall into a vibrant community mural centered on hope, creativity, and possibility.

The project began with a Community Paint Day, inviting children, families, volunteers, and community members to pick up a paintbrush and become part of the artwork. Together, participants added color, handprints, creativity, and their own personal mark—turning the mural into something created not only for the community, but with the community.

Over five days, Paint Joy artists brought those contributions together to complete a large-scale mural celebrating the imagination, strength, and potential within every young person.

The finished artwork is more than a colorful wall. It represents what becomes possible when artists, organizations, donors, and communities work together to create something meaningful.

Through the support of the Founding 116 and the growing Paint Joy community, this project created an opportunity for young people to participate in public art, experience creative expression, and see their contributions become part of something larger than themselves.
